Height of Amitabh Bachchan

First of all Amitabh Bachchan is not the tallest movie star in the Indian movie industry. However, he is the tallest mainstream star. There are several actors who are taller than Amitabh Bachchan but they stand no where in star status. Movie actors like Pravin Kumar who essayed the role of Bhima in Yash Chopra's Mahabharta is at lest 3 to 4 inches taller than Amitabh but he is not a mainstream actor.

According to different figures Amitabh Bachchan used to stand at around 6 ft 2" to 6 ft 2.5" during his younger days in 80s and 90's. In recent times he has been seen standing equal to his son Abhishek Bachchan who stands at around 6ft 2 inches. It seems in old age there has been notable decrease in the normal standing height of the superstar. Anyway if he stands straight with effort he might show off his real height , which is bit taller than the height of his son.
